John Glover was born in 1963 and educated at The Feoffees School Lt Downham, Littleport Village College and the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology. He represented the Isle of Ely football team for two seasons and delivered a lot of milk in the Parish before embarking on a glittering career which has so far embraced the British Rail Signalling and Telecoms Dept (1979-87) and the British Telecom Business Systems Dept (1987-Present). When not earning a crust John has dabbled in many of his varied interests: vocalist for The Approachable Pigeons, football website reviewer for The Green Un paper, golf, walking, hobbling round the Isle of Ely as part of the Ely Running Club, editing theEly City FC web-site and drinking real ale. John also grows a beard once a year and writes a review of the Ely Folk Festival. John is married to Hazel, has two daughters and they all live in a badly maintained house in Littleport.
